Philippians 4:6-7

Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Do you desire the peace of God in your life? That peace is mentioned here in Philippians 4:7, but notice that the verse begins with the word “and.” This tells us that v.7 is linked to the previous statement. If we are determined to fret over things, work stuff out in our own strength, and leave God out of the picture, it will be difficult to recognize His peace even when He gives it.

If we surrender our anxieties through prayer and bring God into every situation, then we are promised peace from God that will be present even when we don’t understand the circumstances, a peace so strong that our hearts and minds will be protected from the anxieties of life through our day-to-day relationship with Jesus Christ. So, take some time today to make your requests known to God; there’s a great promise waiting.
