Proverbs 7:1-3

Proverbs 7:1-3

My son, keep my words, and treasure my commands within you. Keep my commands and live, and my law as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.”

Proverbs 7:1-3

Solomon starts off this proverb encouraging his son, and us, to keep His word. To keep God’s law.  To bind them on our fingers and write them on the tablet of our hearts.

I like the thought of God’s laws bound on my fingers. If you think about your fingers, they are really important!  Pretty much in everything we do, we use our fingers. We pick up things, hold things, write, and even point. Our fingers are carrying out the intents that come from our minds and our hearts.

So when we reach out to the internet, is God’s wisdom bound on our fingers? When we are pointing our fingers, are we pointing fingers at people? Or are we pointing up? Let’s keep God’s law bound on our fingers in everything we do.

Pointing up,

Pastor Rich Kikuchi
