Psalm 1:1-3

Psalm 1:1-3

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Psalm 1:1-3

A tree at the edge of a river, never worries about the rain, it just drinks. The Psalms’ image of a tree planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in its season, is a powerful metaphor for the Christian life. What is our river? Simply, to bear fruit consistently, we must be deeply rooted in God’s Word and His presence. How are you nurturing your spiritual roots? Consider your daily habits and routines. Are you making time to “delight in the law of the Lord,” meditating on His truth day and night?

This would be a good day to commit to strengthening your spiritual foundation through regular Bible study, prayer, and worship. Trust that as you remain connected to the Source of life, you will bear fruit in every season of your life. What a blessing to know that a diligent, devotional life will make us an evergreen for the kingdom.
