Psalm 16:9-11

Psalm 16:9-11

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 16:9-11

Today’s psalm resonates with emphasis on finding fullness of joy in God’s presence. Sometimes our worries about tomorrow distracts us from the present reality of Jesus today. And so, we choose to forfeit joy because we’re not practicing the presence of Jesus day in and day out. But you can see that the psalmist has an immense amount of trust and delight in God.

So, how can we cultivate a greater awareness of God’s presence in our daily life? It helps to remember times when you’ve experienced joy in the Lord, even amidst difficulties. Then ask God to help you practice His presence more consistently, which will automatically lead to a deeper, more abiding joy.
