Psalm 22:6-8

Psalm 22:6-8

But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised by the people. All those who see Me ridicule Me; They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, “He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him; Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!”

Psalm 22:6-8

All of us are made fun of at some point in our lives though we feel we don’t deserve it. We will usually respond back in kind, finding something about the other person we don’t like. We always see ourselves better than we really are.

Psalm 22 is Jesus’ point of view from the cross. He was falsely convicted for sins He didn’t commit and was treated like dirt. He was despised and ridiculed by the people despite being perfect.

Whenever you’re mocked, remember Jesus was, too, but because He didn’t take revenge by coming down off the cross, we can be saved.

Thanks for enduring the cross, my Savior!
