Psalm 27:7-10
Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.” Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me.
Psalm 27:7-10
Everything changed when God spoke one simple command: “Seek My face.” David could have complained—”Lord, armies pursue me and You only say seek You?” But he responded with immediate obedience: “Your face, Lord, I will seek.” Often we know exactly what God wants from us; we just don’t have hearts that rejoice to do it. God wasn’t as concerned about where He was taking David as He was that David knew Him. Seeking God secures His blessing. The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. Stop looking at your watch and calendar. Look by faith into God’s face and let Him have His way in His time. What is God’s simple instruction to you today?
