Psalm 37:25-26
I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed.
Psalm 37:25-26
The mature believers—the fathers and mothers in the faith—possessed something invaluable: experiential knowledge of God’s faithfulness. Through countless seasons of loss, lack, and trial, they had seen God prove Himself true. Their stability didn’t come from favorable circumstances but from deep intimacy with the One who is from the beginning.
What has your experience with God through trials taught you about His faithfulness? Spiritual maturity isn’t measured by how much you know but by how deeply you’ve experienced God. Each trial you face is an opportunity to know Him in ways you never could in comfort. Don’t waste your wilderness. Let it deepen your roots and produce the fruit of unwavering confidence in His character.
