Romans 10:15
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things.”
Romans 10:15
The most important relationship you can have as a follower of Jesus Christ is that of someone who is in fellowship with God. What stems from that deep relationship should develop into a person who cannot contain the gospel. For we are saved that others may see our witness and be saved as well. This is the message that Paul was trying to convey in this portion of scripture. When one becomes saved, Christ will use that new life that it may bring glad tidings to a desperate world in need.
The receiving of the gospel is not to be kept to oneself, but that we would do as Jesus does and share His word. Two verses later, Paul would write, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” There was a time in your life that you heard the gospel and it stirred something in you. Maybe you immediately accepted the Lord as your Savior, or maybe those words laid dormant for many years. Eventually you accepted Jesus as your Savior and now it is your turn through an act of obedience.
We are called to share God’s word that others may hear and be saved. God will be your mouthpiece, and His Spirit will guide you as you become His hands and His feet. Never feel unequipped to release the gospel for He goes with you.
God Bless,
