Romans 10:9-10

Romans 10:9-10

…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:9-10

Jesus called people to believe in the gospel – the good news of salvation through Him. This belief isn’t just mental assent, but a heart-level trust that transforms our lives. What does it mean to truly “believe in” the gospel. (The fact that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead so that we can have eternal life.)

How has this truth changed your life? And are you willing to share your changed life with others? If you’re struggling with doubt, bring those concerns to God honestly because belief in Christ isn’t just about avoiding condemnation, it’s about embracing a new life in Him. Notice the verses above involve heart and mouth. Once our heart is changed by the gospel, we need to engage our mouths to confess to the world that we have been saved. Do so today.
