Romans 12:6-8
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 12:6-8
God has gifted each believer uniquely for the building up of His church. As Peter reminds us, we are to minister to one another as “good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” What are the spiritual gifts God has given you? Are you using them to serve others and glorify God? If you’re unsure of your gifts, pray for clarity, step out in faith, and seek opportunities to serve in various capacities. Over time it will become clear where you are most gifted.
Remember, our goal in using our gifts is not self-promotion, but that “in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.” Today, commit to faithfully stewarding your gifts for God’s glory. Usefulness begins with willingness. If the Lord has given you a gift, you just need to say, Lord, I’m willing.
