Romans 5:1-2

Romans 5:1-2

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:1-2

At the moment of our salvation, we were placed in Christ Jesus, and if we are going to move forward in the abundant Christian life that God desires for us, we need to understand that we are fully acceptable and totally pleasing to God. If we are not clear on this, we will live our Christian lives in a subtle form of bondage, not knowing if we have ever done enough to truly be pleasing and acceptable to God.

To enjoy fellowship with God, we must know all of our sins have been taken away by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We have been forgiven of every sin — past, present, and future — and we are clothed with His righteousness which is acceptable to God. Then we will stand in the grace of God, joyfully certain of the glorious things He has for us in the future.
