Romans 5:3-5
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:3-5
You ever wonder what it would be like to be ruthlessly persecuted for your faith, to the point of fearing for your life? The early church faced intense persecution, yet their faith remained strong. Paul teaches that this kind of suffering produces perseverance, character, and hope. But whether through persecution or any trial, we can all experience growth through difficult times? Has your faith been tested recently? Do you find yourself wonder whether you should just give up on God?
It is so important to remember that God is present in our suffering and uses it to refine us. But we can take part by praying through those enduring hardships and asking God to reveal His purpose in our challenges that we might come forth as refined gold.
