Romans 5:6-8
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8
If you ever doubt God’s love for you, survey the wondrous cross. There is no greater evidence of divine love than Jesus Christ dying as the propitiation—the satisfaction—for your sins. God the Father loved you enough to send His Son. God the Son loved you enough to surrender to the Father’s will. While you were still a sinner, Christ died for you. The cross declares that you are not a hopeless case.
Whatever despair, uncertainty, or difficulty you face today, meditate on this: the One who died for you can be trusted with your life. His love was perfected—carried out to its fullest extreme—on Calvary. You can trust Him because He proved His love when you deserved it least. Let the cross be your anchor when doubts arise.
