Short-Term Mission Trips
Serving Alongside the Saints Abroad
There’s no better way to get the feel and taste of a culture then to go to that country. Our short-term missions trips will help you do just that. The great benefit is that as you are experiencing something very different and new you are also bringing with you the love of Jesus and the good news of the gospel.
Hermosillo, Mexico
On the week after Thanksgiving you can join the team that delivers the Christmas Shoeboxes to the children of Casa Gracia and churches throughout Sonora. The team spends a week engaged in work projects at the Children’s Home, building relationships with the kids of Casa Gracia, outreaches to the community, and a day trip to the fishing town of Bahia de Kino on the Sea of Cortez to partner with Calvary Chapel Kino.
El Hongo, Mexico
El Hongo is about 10 miles east of Tecate and Morningstar takes regular trip there to support the work of Calvary Chapel El Hongo. This rural town houses one of the biggest prisons in Baja and our team holds an outreach there for the inmates that don’t get visits from family. We bring in tortas and hygiene care packages and share in worship and the preaching of the gospel. The team also assists in an outreach to the community usually in the form of an outdoor movie night where we show Christian films in Spanish. Along with the various building projects this weekend trip is always a blessing.
We depart on Thursdays at 6:00 PM and return on Saturdays between 10:00 and 11:00 PM
Mexicali, Mexico
Morningstar takes regular short-term trips to Mexicali, Mexico where we support the work of Calvary Chapel Mexicali. Along with the church there is a small Orphanage that we minister to by helping with building projects and just spending time with the kids. We also usually organize an Outreach during the weekend that invites the community to a free meal, games for the kids, clothing give-a-way and most importantly the gospel is preached.
We depart on Thursdays at 6:00 PM and return on Saturdays between 11:00 and 12:00 midnight.
