The name for the ministry comes from Acts chapter 9, where we meet Tabitha, “In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which is translated Dorcas), who was always doing good and helping the poor.” She had a testimony of providing for peoples needs by making coats and other garments for them. It is our goal to have that same testimony of caring for others in Jesus name.
Tabitha’s Testimony is a ministry for those who knit, crochet, or
sew. We meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 9:00am till noon in the Fellowship Hall and make items that we use to minister to people in hospitals battling cancer, convalescent homes, and community outreaches. We make scarves, blankets, pillow cases, tote bags, and other items, and use them to minister God’s love to others.
