Titus 3:1-2

Titus 3:1-2

Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.

Titus 3:1-2

I wonder how Paul’s counsel to his protégé would be received today. It seems to me often the church is filled with those who are less than willing to be subject to the authority of others and yet are always willing to offer an opinion about the failures and shortcomings of others. Yet the Lord calls upon us, as He did Titus, to recognize that those in power were placed there by Him and that if we have nothing nice to say….well, you get the idea.

How about taking inventory today of the words that leave your mouth. Are they edifying, honoring the Lord and His word, examples of the Christian life, or do we need an adjustment? God is listening and the world I watching (Psalms 9:14).

Wanting to bless and say that which edifies,
