Watts

Why do we serve at the Watts Outreach?

We seek to bring Jesus glory by coming alongside Hope Central Watts Calvary Chapel in order to see people meet Jesus in the city of Watts. We want to be a witness by bringing our team to help serve their outreach event on Friday nights, and other additional outreach opportunities that arise.

“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in it’s welfare you shall find your welfare…do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are My People.”

Jeremiah 29:7, Acts 18:10

What do we do at the Watts Outreach?

There are many activities going on for the teens, children, and families that attend the Outreach, but our primary goal is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We play games or sports with kids, serve them dinner, paint faces, sing worship songs, and share messages from the Bible about Jesus. The opportunities to serve are numerous! Most of all, we find every possible, Biblical way to show them the love of Christ (Luke 19:10, John 3:16).

When do we serve at the Watts Outreach?

Morningstar Christian Chapel serves every 1st Friday of the month. We meet in the Chapel Store parking lot at 4pm to carpool down to Watts. Plan on returning between 8-9pm.
