For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.

The Thessalonian church was an example to the world of the Gospel. And one of the ways they made the biggest impact was their actions. They turned from their idols and old ways and turned to God. 

The Gospel will take our lives and change it radically. To turn from sin will immediately get the attention of the world around us. Our friends, family, neighbors, classmates, and co-workers will notice. Putting away the things of the world and devoting ourselves to holiness and living or God’s glory is how to be the best example of the gospel. Especially to those who will not listen to our words. 

Today, consider who are you an example of the gospel to? Who knows you are a Christian? Who needs to know? And do you live in such a way that shows the power of the Gospel?
