Ecclesiastes 3:1

Ecclesiastes 3:1

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

It’s hard to not get wrapped up in all the world’s events. Now, more than ever, we are bombarded with everything from political to social to economic unrest. It can be easy to take our eyes off of the author and finisher of our faith. Yet, through all that we see and are constantly exposed to, we are to remain confident that God has not “stepped out for a coffee break.” The same God who fed the children of Israel in the desert is the same God that we worship today. When Moses came down from the mountain and found the Israelites making idols, he was shocked and angry. But God has not been on vacation just because we view the world in disarray. I repeat, “God has not left the building.” He is definitely not shocked by anything going on in our world, nor is He weakened. He has foreseen everything and is using all the good (and the bad) for His glory in His perfect time.

We are to be confident, not in what we can do, but rather what He can do, and will do, according to what the Bible tells us. As seasons change, so must our faith grow as the world shifts closer to what His promises say. It is never our way or our wills, but His. Let us remain steadfast in the seasons of life as they unfold according to His perfect plans.

God Bless,
