1 Timothy 2:1-4
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:1-4
Have you ever heard the term “evangelistic praying?” It was coined for these verses which encourage or exhort us that in our prayers we include asking for the needs of others (supplication), lifting up our concerns (prayer), and seeking God in intercession for those in power, whether they be kings or anyone else in authority over us. Paul tells Timothy that this practice of prayer is good and acceptable in God’s sight because, as our Savior, Jesus desires all men to be saved.
Who are you regularly praying for to be saved? Stick with it, ask God to reveal Himself and bind the enemy from blinding their hearts, and even that God may give you opportunity to share your faith with those you are lifting up before Him. Much evangelism takes place on our knees.
Evangelistic prayer pleases the Lord,
