Now all the people gathered together as one man in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded Israel.

Nehemiah 8:1

So here we see all the people gathering together to hear the Word of God.  It says they were like one man!  They were there for one purpose, united in their desire to hear the Word of God.  Very cool!  Back then like today, it is the most important thing we can do individually and as a body of believers…..learn God’s word.  

I need God’s word and that is all there is to it!  And so do you.  Have you been tasting of His word lately?  Have you been spending time reading the word and hearing from God?  David wrote in Psalm 34, “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man who puts his trust in Him.”  We need to taste of His word each and every day.
