Joshua 21:45
Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
Joshua 21:45
Why do we so often feel the Lord is failing us? Whenever things go wrong in our lives, we somehow think it’s God’s fault. Yet God does everything perfectly, it’s us who fail.
The conquering of the land of Canaan and the possession of the Promised Land took a long time. First there were the signs of God to get Egypt out of possession of the Pharaoh, including the 10 plagues and the crossing of the Red Sea. After that there was a 40-year hike through the desert due to the disobedience and lack of trust of the Israelites.
Once the Israelites finally did reach their land, there were battles to fight and lands to conquer. Now, here, towards the end of Joshua, it’s obvious not one good thing failed in all this time.
Looking back at all of this, it might not have seemed like everything went so smoothly, but God never failed the people. It’s the same today. God isn’t failing us, but we often fail Him. If we trust in what He says, we’d be better off, because everything He speaks in His word comes to pass. Trust in the Lord!
God never lets me down,
