I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

As a Christian, I have a bad habit and maybe you can identify with this. Whenever a difficult situation comes up, I panic and try everything in my power to solve the problem and just get more frustrated. At that point, I finally remember the Lord and pray for Him to do something. Which He always does.

Where does our help come from? It comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Why do we, as weak as we are, always think we can do more than a God who created the universe and everything in it. Shouldn’t that be our first call?

So next time you’re having tough problems, before you try to solve it, call unto the Lord and make sure He’s the main part of your solution. 

Help me, Lord!
