Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God will shine forth.
One of my favorite Christmas movies begins with the line, “If you look hard enough, you will see that love is, actually everywhere.” Nothing can be truer than this in the eyes of one who has been delivered from sin and has become a child of God. His handiwork is everywhere and cannot be denied. Even in the midst of turmoil, one only has to look up to the sky to see the beauty of the heavens. When it thunders and pours, look down at the firmament and see the feeding of God’s green earth before your very eyes. Yes, God, just like love, is everywhere.
People talk about finding the silver lining in a bad situation, but God gives us promises through His natural revelation in which we live. The beauty is indeed before us and if we stopped looking inside when we feel down and looked outward to others and the world around, we would see that too. As the weather changes from hot to cold, and cold to windy, remember that there is beauty at all times of our lives because the One who holds the planets in His hands has handcrafted this place for us. Let that soak in and let Him saturate your spirit today.
