Mark 3:32-35

And a multitude was sitting around Him; and they said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are outside seeking You.” But He answered them, saying, “Who is My mother, or My brothers?” And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! “For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.” 

Mark 3:32-35

In the above verse, Jesus was spiritually speaking. In a previous verse, it says that His own people went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.”  His family was now trying to locate Him. They had watched Him grow from a child to a man and were now concerned for Him. Jesus’ answer was whoever does the will of God is my family.

Are we doing the will of God? We can know His will by reading the Bible. We are also to obey what it says. In 1 Samuel 15:22, it says, “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.”  Lord, please help us to be in Your will and walk accordingly. Use us we pray. It is so good to be in the family of God!
