Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23

            This is one of those Bible checklists we all have to consult once in a while to see whether the fruits of the Spirit are working in us or the fruits of the world. This list all starts with love, do we have God’s love for others? Then there is joy. Are we drawing our joy from the Spirit or are we in a funk?

            Do we have peace in our lives or is it a hectic rat race? Are we longsuffering or patient, or always overanxious? Do we have kindness towards other or are we brusque? Do we have God’s goodness or are our acts self-serving? 

            How faithful are you to others? How gentle? How much self-control do you display? 

            These are not natural human instincts which is why we need the Spirit to guide us. How’d you do on this list? If you’re like me, some of them require some work.
