The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

I have a prayer list of my unsaved friends and family that I pray for frequently. For some of them, I’ve been praying for their salvation for decades, and nothing ever seems to happen. That’s why I love the verse above. It’s not the Lord’s will that any would perish, but all would come to repentance. God loves everyone and gives all people a chance to be saved.

So don’t give up praying for those stubborn family members. God is waiting for the right time and giving all of them a chance to repent. If He did it for us, He’ll do it for them!
