2 Timothy 1:12

For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

Do you have a special place where you store precious and irreplaceable things? Those things that would be the first to grab if you ever had to evacuate your home?  So does Jesus.  Everything we do on this earth for His Kingdom is being stored up and will be unpacked on the day we that see Jesus face to face.  We might forget the little act of kindness, the smile we gave to a store clerk, or the gospel tract we left with our waitress, but Jesus doesn’t.

We shouldn’t do good works to try and score points with Jesus, but we should be doing them out of a genuine love for Him and for the people He created. Those are the rewards that will last, and that’s how we store up treasures in heaven. So give the Lord something to put in your box today as we show the heart of Jesus to those around us.
