Lamentations 3:22-24

Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”

Lamentations 3:22-24

In the midst of great suffering, Jeremiah writes this great truth found in the Book of Lamentations. Written amid the aftermath of the destruction of his city and people, Jeremiah is still aware of God’s mercy and faithfulness. 

We can learn a great lesson from this. No matter what we go through in life, even if our lives and the world are falling apart, we can say, “Great is Your faithfulness.”

The key is to see the Lord as our portion in all things. No matter what is happening in life, our focus should be on Him. No matter the issues we face, we know the Lord will take care of us.
