1 Thessalonians 2:19-20
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy.
1 Thessalonians 2:19-20
It can be difficult to live Godly in this life — to forsake your sin and trust God’s word, to suffer persecution at the hands of the world and sometimes even your family, to put on the armor of God every day and fight spiritual battles. It’s not always easy serving the Lord.
But it’s all worth it, every minute of it! Because God is at work, saving the lost and setting the captives free! God has given us everything we need to accomplish His will for our lives and has given us a message that bears eternal fruit. So, though the work is hard, the rewards are great.
“This is our hope, our joy, and our crown of rejoicing,” Paul says. “You in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming. For you are our glory and joy“. It’s all worth it to see those whom you shared with standing in heaven with you, worshiping at the throne of God.
