Jude 1:17-19

Jude 1:17-19

But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

Jude 1:17-19

Jude had given several Old Testament examples of apostasy as he began his short letter: Cain, Balaam, Korah, some among the children of Israel in the wilderness, fallen angels who left their first estate in defiance of God, Sodom and Gomorrah. But here, near the end of his short letter, he turns to the church to remind us of the words of the apostles that the last days would also be filled with those claiming to be believers in God yet mocking His Word and pursuing ungodly lives.
In a darkening world, we are called by our Lord to live in the Light of His Word and be a light to those around us. Jesus is coming soon! Time for us, His people, to shine as a light in a dark place (2 Peter 1:19).

Turn on the Light!
