Luke 23:18
And they all cried out at once, saying, “Away with this Man, and release to us Barabbas.”
Luke 23:18
Barabbas was set to be crucified on the middle cross next to two thieves. But instead, Jesus took His place. And Barabbas, guilty and sentenced to death, was released.
He perfectly illustrates how Christ paid our debt and took our sins on the cross. We, like Barabbas, were once guilty and sentenced to death, but Christ stepped in and took our place. And now we, like Barabbas, get to walk away with our freedom.
Barabbas got a second chance, and so do we. Let us use it to serve the Lord.
Walking in freedom,
