Jude 1:24-25

Jude 1:24-25

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.

Jude 1:24-25

Having written to the church that the last days would be filled with imposters and false teachers, Jude encouraged us to stay close to Jesus, strengthening our faith, and then focus our attention on reaching the lost with good news of our Lord’s coming. Jude ends his short letter calling us to find rest as we wait for Jesus to come for us.

When all is said and done, it is the keeping power of our Lord that is our confidence as we daily walk through the minefield of apostasy and stand before Him one day. You can neither save yourself nor keep yourself, and this ending verse about our rest certainly makes that abundantly clear. But God can and will keep us unto that day. May His peace keep you today as you walk through a dark world, holding the Good News out to any who would hear!

Resting in His mighty hand,

Pastor Jack Abeelen
