And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Many times, when I witness to others, they tend to give me an intellectual argument. Isn’t the Earth billions of years old? How can Jesus be God and Man? Aren’t there a million ways to Heaven, not just one?

Yet, according to the verse above, the reason people reject Jesus, the Light, isn’t for intellectual reasons but because of sin. They love darkness because their deeds are evil. The reason people don’t get saved is because they don’t want to give up their sinful lifestyle, and they know God would want that.

So remember, if you’re wondering how people get saved, it’s John 3:16: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Believe in Jesus. If you’re wondering why people don’t get saved, just flip the six and make it a nine and you have the verse above.
