Psalm 139:23-24

Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

Some sins are obvious and on the surface. We struggle with them and rely on the Lord’s strength to overcome them. And then there are sins that are hidden deep within us. This is what David is referring to. The sins that are under the surface. The Lord sees these even when we can’t.

What a challenge to pray this week, To ask the lord to reveal the wicked ways within us that we are unaware of. The ones that trip us because we can’t see them. 

Today, let us pray that the Lord search our hearts for the hidden sins, and lead us in the way of everlasting life.
