Hebrews 6:19-20a

Hebrews 6:19-20a

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus.

Hebrews 6:19-20a

When the waves of doubt threaten to set our lives adrift, our expectant trust in God’s promises will keep us in one place, like an anchor in the deep. But the anchor we cast out amid the storms is not cast down into the deep to catch a rock but is cast upward to the inner sanctuary of Heaven, the Holy of Holies, to catch THE ROCK, Jesus Christ, our salvation.

We can now come before our Heavenly Father with confidence and acceptance because Jesus slipped in behind the veil on the day of His death where He became the “forerunner.”  A “forerunner” is one who comes to a place where the rest are to follow. He has gone in; we can now go in, too. It’s the ultimate, “follow the leader.”  Cast your cares on Him today.

Anchored in Him,

Pastor Gerard Deleeuw
