Joshua 2:1

Now Joshua the son of Nun sent out two men from Acacia Grove to spy secretly saying, “Go, view the land, especially Jericho.”  So they went, and came to the house of a harlot named Rahab, and lodged there.

Joshua 2:1

Joshua had begun to get his people ready to go into the promised land, but first, he sent in two spies to check out the land directly in front of them — the area of Jericho.  So they crossed over and wound up staying at Rahab’s place.  Rahab was a harlot and I am not sure why these spies stayed there. But God had a plan and part of that plan was to use Rahab.  You see, even when it doesn’t make sense, God has a plan.

There may be things in our lives we are currently going through that just don’t make sense. People in our life who just keep doing what they do and it just doesn’t make sense. But God is in control.  Joshua sent these two spies out and they go stay with a harlot. That doesn’t make much sense.  But Rahab wound up being used by God to keep these two spies safe and to encourage us centuries later as told in Hebrews 11:31. 

Sometimes things in our life just don’t make sense, but God has a plan.  He had one for Rahab, and He has one for you.
