Galatians 5:24-26
And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Galatians 5:24-26
As believers, we are called to “crucify the flesh with its passions and desires.” This vivid imagery reminds us that dealing with our sinful nature is a painful, ongoing process. It requires daily choices to put to death our selfish desires and to live for Christ.
Crucifying the flesh isn’t about self-improvement or willpower, but about surrendering to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. Identify an area in your life where you need to “crucify the flesh.” Confess this to God, asking for His strength to overcome.
Remember, you are united with Christ in His death and resurrection – the power that raised Jesus from the dead is at workin you, enabling you to live a new life.
