2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
This passage touched on the reality of suffering in the Christian life. Paul reminds us that God comforts us in all our troubles, enabling us to comfort others. We know that we have all experienced God’s comfort in the midst of difficulty. Know that God intends for us to take those experiences and allow Him to use us to minster to others.
How can we do that? Start by being attentive to those around you who might be suffering. Then be ready to extend the comfort God has given you, to them. And you can be comforted in knowing that our sufferings are not wasted when we allow God to use them for His purposes and the benefit of others.
