Proverbs 4:23-27
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth And put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead. And your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet. And let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.
Proverbs 4:23-27
These verses emphasize the importance of guarding our hearts, especially in challenging times. This passage in Proverbs provides practical wisdom for keeping our spiritual focus. Read through it again and consider the different aspects mentioned—your ears, eyes, heart, mouth, and feet. How can you better align each of these areas with God’s truth? In a world full of distractions and negative influences, what specific steps can you take to protect your heart?
Today, make a commitment to be more intentional about what you allow to influence your thoughts and attitudes. Ask God for discernment and the strength to keep your heart fixed on Him. If you stopped reading your Bible, start reading your Bible again. As you hear God speak to your heart, your heart will be kept, in Him.
