Mark 6:47-50

Mark 6:47-50

Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land. Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by. And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

Mark 6:47-50

How strong and far-reaching do you think your faith stands today? The disciples’ experience in the storm teaches us valuable lessons about faith. Despite Jesus’ promise that they would reach the other side, they struggled to recognize Him in their moment of crisis. How often do we, like the disciples, fail to expect Jesus’ presence in our storms? The storms of your life are not meant to destroy you. They’re meant to prepare you.

Think about the challenges you’re facing. Are you straining at the oars, or are you looking for Jesus? Remember, He may come to you in unexpected ways. Practice being attentive to His presence, even in difficulty. Ask God to increase your faith and help you recognize Him passing by in your daily life.
