Acts 3:2-6
And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
Acts 3:2-6
The crowd in Gennesaret came to Jesus with great expectation, believing that even touching the hem of His garment would bring healing. Peter and John demonstrated similar faith when they encountered the lame man at the temple gate. They expected God’s power to work through them. How often do we approach our Christian life with this level of expectancy?
Can you imagine what life would be like if we challenged ourselves to live with a greater anticipation of God’s power at work in and through us. Start expecting God to work in your life again. Start believing that the one who called you cares about you and He desires to work. Your difficulty is nothing more than an opportunity to reveal His nature and His power to you.
