1 John 1:6-7

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

A great way to expose things is to turn a light on it. We know that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. So, what does that expose in us? As believers, we are called to walk in this light, living lives of openness and honesty before God and others.

Hopefully there are no areas of your life where you might be holding back from God or hiding in darkness. Because the wonderful promise is that when we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Walking in the light means being transparent with God about our struggles and shortcomings. As you go through your day, practice this openness with God, inviting His light to illuminate every corner of your heart.
