1 John 3:4-5
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.
1 John 3:4-5
Sin is lawlessness—a complete disregard for God Himself. When we minimize our sin by calling it a “mistake” or saying “if I’ve done anything wrong,” we fail to recognize its true nature. The first step toward holy living is understanding the sinfulness of sin. Yet here’s the beautiful truth: “You know that He was manifested to take away our sins.” Jesus didn’t come to partially remove your guilt—He came to completely eradicate it.
When condemnation whispers in your ear, remember that Christ has fully dealt with your sin. He was the only perfect sacrifice, and in Him there is no sin. Today, let the reality of what Jesus accomplished anchor your soul in certainty, not uncertainty. We walk in forgiveness and we’re justified through Christ.
