Romans 6:5-7

Romans 6:5-7

For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin.

Romans 6:5-7

Jesus didn’t just save you from hell—He saved you from sin’s power over your life. Your old nature was crucified with Christ. No one crucifies a man twice. Have you ever seen a dead man wrestling with temptation? You’ve been freed! This doesn’t mean temptation disappears, but it does mean sin no longer has dominion over you.

All the resources of heaven have been given to you to live victoriously. Look back at how far God has brought you—you don’t struggle with the same things you did when you first believed. That’s evidence of His delivering power. So, believe what God says about you: you are dead to sin and alive to righteousness. Walk in that truth.
