1 John 3:23-24
And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
1 John 3:23-24
The verse before reads: “Whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.” (1 John 3:22) This promise should revolutionize your prayer life. God desires nothing more than for His children to communicate with Him constantly. Prayer isn’t about persuading God to do what we want; it’s aligning our will with His and praying His purposes into action. As you abide in Christ, you become more attuned to His heart, and the desires He places within you become the very things He wants to accomplish.
Don’t doubt those Spirit-prompted burdens—bathe them in prayer. The enemy fears your prayers and will distract you endlessly. Start today: grab a pen and paper, quiet your mind, and simply talk with your Father. Watch how confidence in prayer transforms your entire relationship with God.
