Acts 10:34-35

Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.”

Jesus’ interaction with the Gentile woman, desperate for deliverance for her demon possessed daughter, foreshadows the expansion of God’s kingdom to include all nations. Peter’s realization in Acts confirms that God shows no partiality. This might challenge us to honestly examine our own biases and prejudices. Are there people or groups you struggle to see as equally loved by God? How can you extend God’s love to someone different from you today? Remember, just as Jesus crossed cultural boundaries to show love, we are called to do the same.
