Acts 1:8

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

This is a great verse to guide us in our ministries. It shows us the different places Jesus told the disciples in which they’d be witnesses – first, Jerusalem, then Judea and Samaria, and finally the ends of the earth.

Who are we witnessing to? We should start with our Jerusalem, our close family, and let them know about Jesus. Then we can move onto Judea and Samaria, our friends and neighbors, and then finally move to the ends of the earth, anyone to which we come in contact.

Jesus’ point is there’s not going to be a lack of ministry work to do. We always have people in our lives to share with. Most of the time, we just don’t do it. Yet we should always look for those opportunities to share the good news.
