Morningstar Block Party
Every October 31, the church hosts an alternative to Halloween, the Morningstar Block Party. It runs from 6 p.m.-to-9 p.m.. and is open to all of the children in the neighborhood. It is a safe place for the children to play games, go on jumpers, and collect tons of candy. We also have a rock climbing wall and a petting zoo, along with many other fun activities.
Volunteers are church members who come out for the night to serve the children by running game booths and food booths. Along with that, we have a central stage that showcases acts which teach the gospel, and shows video clips of testimonies from church members.
If you attend Morningstar and would like to volunteer, check your church bulletins for when sign-ups begin for workers and if you’d like your child to attend, just bring them on by.
