Daniel 6:3

Daniel 6:3

Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.

Daniel 6:3

Daniel was approaching 90 years old and had served 70 years in the Babylonian government as God’s man before seeing Babylon overthrown by the Medes and the Persians. Yet Daniel survived and was well-received and given a place of prominence in the Medo-Persian world empire as well. His walk with the Lord and the character that relationship with Almighty God produced saw Daniel recognized for his excellent spirit.

It is certainly a glorious day when the world that does not know God sees the work of God in you and desires what you’ve been given. Daniel was instrumental in leading the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar, to the Lord (Daniel 4) and had the same influence upon Darius, the king of this new emerging world power (Daniel 6:3, 24-28). May  the Lord use your changed life and heart to be a great witness for Him in a world that desperately needs to see Jesus in us!

Wanting to be more like Jesus,
